Pascal Siakam Is A Pacer!

Image
It is officially the end of an era for the Toronto Raptors. Pascal Siakam has been mentioned in trade rumors for most of the season. While Siakam's wish was to stay with the Raptors, the business of the NBA tends to interfere with wishes. It has been announced that Pascal Siakam has been traded to the Indiana Pacers.            Pascal Siakam was drafted by the Toronto Raptors in 2016 with the twenty-seventh overall pick. He was a huge piece in helping the Raptors win their first ever NBA championship in 2019 against the Golden State Warriors. After winning a championship he was named an NBA All-Star in 2020 and again in 2023. Siakam has also made All-NBA twice, All-NBA Second Team in 2020 and then All-NBA Third Team in 2022. Siakam has accomplished a lot in his eight years in the NBA, now he will join a rising young team in Indianapolis.           Full trade details: The Indiana Pacers acquire forward Pascal Siakam and a 2024 second round pick (from New Orleans). Clint Capela On the Move?

Image
The Atlanta Hawks have been terrible so far this season and it would be no surprise if they make a lot of moves as we are less than a month away from the NBA trade deadline. It has already been reported that Dejounte Murray is available in trade talks but the Hawks have another big name asset. Clint Capela is one of the league's best rebounders, averaging 10.5 rebounds per game so far this season. He is ranked seventh in the NBA this season in rebounds per game and is ranked seventh in total rebounds per game this season with 390 total rebounds.            Clint Capela has not been deemed "untouchable" in trade talks and there are many teams who are monitoring his situation. According to source Brett Siegel, "the Lakers, Knicks, Rockets, and Kings are teams to monitor in the Clint Capela sweepstakes." Capela was drafted by the Rockets in 2014 and would spend his first six seasons in Houston. Brett Siegel also mentioned that the Rockets are interested i

Grizzlies Guard Injury Update!

Image
It was already announced that Ja Morant will miss the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury and Marcus Smart will miss significant time due to a finger injury but the Memphis Grizzlies cannot catch a break. It was recently announced that Desmond Bane will miss at least six weeks due to an ankle injury. "Bane has been diagnosed with a Grade 3 left ankle sprain, which he sustained during the third quarter of the January 12 game against the LA Clippers." Bane has had a bigger role this season with Ja Morant being suspended for the first twenty-five games of the season and all the injuries the Grizzlies have been dealing with, but now without him the Grizzlies look hopeless.            Desmond Bane has been known as one of the best three-point shooters in the league but given the bigger role he's had to fulfill this season, his game has elevated. So far this season Bane is averaging career highs in points (24.4) and assists (5.3). Despite Bane's great

Donovan Mitchell Goes Off Against Nets In Paris!

Image
The Brooklyn Nets and the Cleveland Cavaliers played a match all the way in Paris, France. There are many notable NBA players to come from France such as Tony Parker, Rudy Gobert, Evan Fourner, Nicholas Batum and Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama. The first time the NBA played in Paris was in 1997 featuring Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls. The second time was in 2020, before the Covid-19 pandemic, featuring the Milwaukee Bucks and the Charlotte Hornets in which the Bucks won the game (Bucks 116, Hornets 103). The last time the NBA played in France was last year featuring the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons in which the Bulls won the game (Bulls 126, Pistons 108).            The Cleveland Cavaliers had full control of the game against the Brooklyn Nets from beginning to end. The Nets never led in this game and the Cavaliers got great contributions from all of their players. Off the bench, Caris LeVert scored 21 points and George Niang with a solid 10 points. The player

Pacers' All-Star Guard Injury Updates!

Image
Tyrese Haliburton has become an All-Star caliber player and has the potential of being an All-NBA type of player. His ability to score and pass the ball with vey little turnovers, makes him one of the top players in the NBA. In the Pacers' recent matchup against the Boston Celtics, Haliburton was driving to the basket and he slipped but it was bad. As he was going down his leg hyperextended, almost like he was doing a full split. His teammates had to carry him off the court and he did not return for the rest of the game, which the Pacers won (Pacers 133, Celtics 131).            Haliburton had an MRI and it was reported by Adrian Wojnarowski that the MRI revealed that he has sustained a Grade 1 hamstring strain. The Pacers will re-evaluate his injury in approximately two weeks but there's relief that he's avoided serious injury. So far this season, Haliburton is averaging career highs in points (23.6) and assists (12.5). His 12.5 assists is the league leader in as

Pascal Siakam's Time In Toronto Over?

Image
With the Toronto Raptors trading OG Anunoby to the New York Knicks, Pascal Siakam is the last Raptor remaining from the 2019 Toronto Raptors championship team. Siakam was drafted by the Raptors back in 2016 and in 2019 he helped deliver the Raptors' first NBA championship in franchise history. Ever since 2019 the Raptors have never made it back to the NBA Finals, let alone the Eastern Conference Finals. Given the lack of success, the Raptors are now looking to be heading into a rebuild and all that is left to certify it is trading Pascal Siakam.            Pascal Siakam is a NBA champion, two-time All-Star and made All-NBA twice. He has drawn interest from the Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers and Dallas Mavericks. The Hawks have been the most consistent team linked to Pascal Siakam since the past summer. The Raptors and Hawks have had talks on a deal this past summer, the Hawks offered a package of De'Andre Hunter, AJ Griffin and a pick to the Raptors but the package was

Dejounte Murray On the Trade Block?

Image
The Atlanta Hawks have been horrible this season, especially for a team with so much talent. A couple summer ago the Hawks traded for Dejounte Murray, pairing him with Trae Young. Murray is a solid scorer and a great defender but his impact on the Hawks hasn't been as significant as the Hawks had hoped. The Atlanta Hawks are currently 14-21, the twelfth seed in the Eastern Conference.            Dejounte Murray is on the final year of his current deal but this past summer he signed a 4-year, $114 million contract extension, with the final year being a player-option. Given the lack of success the Hawks have had, Murray has been made available in trade talks. As of right now, teams that have shown interest in Dejounte Murray are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers. Chris Haynes, a reliable NBA insider, expects Murray to be traded by the deadline. Haynes goes to say "I do believe Dejounte Murray will likely be traded by the deadline."            Trae

Orlando Magic Officially Announce First Jersey Retirement!

Image
Despite being one of ten teams that have not won a championship, the Orlando Magic have had many legends play for them. Shaquille O'Neal, Penny Hardaway, Dwight Howard, Tracy McGrady, the list goes on and on. However, while the Magic have a list of Hall of Famers play for them, they have never retired a jersey number. That all changes as it was just announced that the Orlando Magic will retire Shaquille O'Neal's jersey (no. 32).            Shaquille was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the first overall pick back in 1992. He was a once in a generation talent with his strength and dominance. He won the Rookie of the Year award and would continue to find success. In 1995 Shaq and the Orlando Magic made it all the way to the NBA Finals which was the Magic's first Finals appearance in franchise history. Sadly they would lose to the Houston Rockets in four games, Shaq would never make it back to the Finals with the Magic.            Shaq would leave the Orlando Ma

Is Alperen Sengun An All-Star Player?

Image
The Houston Rockets are having a good season so far after finishing at the bottom of the standings the past few seasons. The Rockets are currently 17-15, the eighth seed in the Western Conference and one of the reasons for their success is the breakout of Alperen Sengun. Sengun has been compared to Nikola Jokic the past couple seasons because they both play at a slow pace and can past the ball very well for a big man. His game has elevated this season and is making a case to go to Indiana for the All-Star game.             Alperen Sengun is averaging career highs this season in points (21.5), assists (5.2) and steals (1.2). Another impressive thing about Sengun this season is he hasn't missed a game yet, so his availability has been so reliable for the Houston Rockets. Sengun may be undersized at the center position but he is so crafty and plays at his own pace, he seems to find a way to get to the rim and get a bucket. He is not only one of the best centers in the Wester

Knicks First Win With New Additions!

Image
A couple days ago the New York Knicks made a trade with the Toronto Raptors. The Knicks acquired OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn. The Knicks sent RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and a second-round pick to Toronto. It's New Years day and the new additions made their Knicks debut except for Malachi Flynn due to an ankle sprain.            In his first game as a Knick, OG Anunoby was inserted into the starting lineup at small forward. A huge reason OG is a great fit on the Knicks, besides his defense, is how well he plays off the ball. With Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle being the ball dominant players on the team, OG can just play off of them and play his regular amazing defense. OG had a solid night in his Knicks debut despite fouling out scoring 17 points shooting 7 of 12 from the field (58%) and 3 of 6 from 3-point range, grabbed 6 rebounds, had an assist and a steal. He also got his first win as a New York Knick beating the Minnesota Timberwolves (Knicks 1
