The New & Improved New York Knicks!
Since acquiring OG Anunoby on December 30th, the New York Knicks have been arguably the hottest team in the NBA. As a matter of fact, they are 16-4 since acquiring OG. Even with already having a great team the Knicks did not stop looking to improve their roster. At the trade deadline, the New York Knicks made a deal with the Detroit Pistons and acquired a couple great veterans.
Reported by Adrian Wojnarowski, the New York Knicks acquired guard Alec Burks and forward Bojan Bogdanovic in exchange for Quentin Grimes, Malachi Flynn, Evan Fournier, Ryan Arcidiacono and two second-round picks. This is Burks' second stint with the Knicks, he last played for them in the 2021-22 season. Burks was also part of that 2020-21 Knicks team that made the playoffs for the first time in seven years. He is a solid shooter, shooting at 40% from three-point range this season, and will be a great addition to the bench unit.
Bojan Bogdanovic has been involved in many trade rumors the last couple seasons and lands on a contender. After spending three seasons with the Utah Jazz, Bojan would then get traded to the Detroit Pistons where they have just been losing and finishing the season at the bottom of the standings. Bojan adds three-point shooting to the front court and plenty of playoff experience. The new acquisitions add depth for the New York Knicks as they look to be serious championship contenders in the Eastern Conference.
