Beal Goes Off In DC Reunion!
Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal made his return to Washington DC, where it all started. Beal was drafted by the Wizards in 2012. He would spend eleven season in DC and despite the lack of success, Beal showed dedication and loyalty to the Wizards. Beal will be known as one of the best in Wizards' history as he is third in franchise history wins (342), third in games played (695), second in points (15,391), second in field goals made (5,624), first in three pointers made (1,514), third in assists (2,972) and second in steals (772).
Last summer, Beal and the Wizards agreed that it was time to move on and close their chapter together. On June 24th, it was announced that Bradley Beal was traded to the Phoenix Suns to partner up with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. Beal has dealt with some injuries this season that has kept him in and out of the lineup but has recently has managed to stay on the court. On February 4th, Beal has made his return to DC and he went off for a new season-high.
In his DC reunion, Bradley Beal scored a new season-high 43 points, shooting 16 of 21 (76%) from the field and 4 of 5 (80%) from three point range. Beal has been known for his scoring ability, he even scored a career-high 60 points during his Wizards tenure against the Philadelphia 76ers. Beal did everything he could to help Washington compete but could never get the right pieces to help him along with the unfortunate injures of his former backcourt partner John Wall. Beal is in a great situation with the Phoenix Suns, a championship contender, and if he can stay healthy then the Suns have a great chance.
